One-Day Seminar on Effective Time Management & Professional Business Communication

One-Day Seminar on Effective Time Management & Professional Business Communication The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Kochi, a recognized professional body approved by MHRD (ISTE), Government of India, and a Charter Member of the International Federation of Procurement and Supply Management (IFPSM), USA, is organizing a comprehensive One-Day Seminar on Effective Time Management & Professional Business Communication. This professionally designed programme aims to equip participants with practical techniques to improve workplace productivity, strengthen communication skills, and achieve better organizational performance. Time is one of the most valuable and non-renewable resources available to every professional. While organizations can increase capital, manpower, or materials, the supply of time remains fixed. Effective time management enables individuals to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, reduce delays, and improve efficiency. Equally important is professional business communication, which helps eliminate misunderstandings, avoid costly mistakes, build stronger customer relationships, and enhance employee morale. This seminar combines both critical workplace competencies into a practical learning experience through expert presentations, real-world examples, assignments, case studies, and interactive discussions. The seminar will be held on 18 August 2026 (Tuesday) at The Renai Hotel, Palarivattom, Kochi. The programme begins with participant registration at 9:00 AM, followed by sessions covering Effective Time Management, Efficiency and Effectiveness, Investing Time Instead of Spending It, Time Wasters and Practical Solutions, Assignments and Case Studies, Styles of Human Communication, Common Communication Mistakes and Their Corrections, Business Letter Writing, and a concluding review session. Tea breaks and lunch are included as part of the programme. The resource person is a highly experienced management professional and former Senior Manager at The Times of India, holding a Master of Business Law from NLSIU, Bangalore, along with management studies from Bombay University. With experience as a General Manager, Director, CEO, Business Strategist, and Corporate Advisor, the speaker has delivered more than 1,500 management presentations across India and authored numerous management articles published in The Times of India. This seminar is ideal for Officers, Managers, Department Heads, Directors, CEOs, Entrepreneurs, Decision Makers, and other professionals responsible for managing teams, projects, and organizational functions. Participants will gain practical knowledge that can be immediately applied to improve productivity, communication effectiveness, and overall business performance. The registration fee is ₹5,400 plus 18% GST per participant, which includes seminar participation, study materials, refreshments, lunch, and a participation certificate. Organizations nominating four participants need to pay the fee for only three participants. Members of IIMM and institutional members are eligible for a 25% discount on the registration fee (only one discount can be availed). Payments can be made through Bank Transfer, NEFT, or GPay to the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Cochin. Beyond seminars, IIMM conducts several professional development initiatives, including the AICTE-approved two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM), an Online Post Graduate Programme in Supply Chain & Logistics (with offline examinations), various short-term management courses, consultancy services for MSMEs and large industries, and doctoral research opportunities through the Centre for Research in Materials Management (CRIMM). Through these initiatives, IIMM continues to promote professional excellence and industry-ready management practices for individuals and organizations alike.
